These jeans began as a standard pair of Levi’s 501s, made in the 1990s and faded by time into a soft, cloud-like blue. At some point, they were transformed—reconstructed by hand with large oval patches stitched flat against the knees and thighs, forming a quiet geometry across the legs.

Signs of wear remain: the fraying hems, threadbare knees, and a split at the crotch now mended. The red tab still peeks out from the pocket seam, a reminder of the original make. What was once utilitarian has become expressive—repair as design, and design as record of use.
